The theft incident that took place on Sunday night at the crowded Jamalpur Chowk of the city caused a loss of 95 thousand rupees to the victim. Around 7:30 pm, a youth named Sandeep Kumar had dinner with his friends at Burger King in Jamalpur. As soon as they came out after eating, their Activa scooter was found missing. The company had kept around 95 thousand rupees in the trunk of the scooter. In this way, a simple burger cost Sandeep 95 thousand rupees.

The victim immediately called on number 112 but despite complaining, no employee reached the spot. Finally at 10 pm a policeman came and instead of understanding the seriousness of the matter, sent the victim away saying that he should go to Jamalpur police station and register a complaint. When Sandeep called the SHO of Jamalpur police station, he called the victim to Burger King on Monday but there too no concrete investigation was done. Neither CCTV footage was available. No action was taken to scan the footage, nor was the area cordoned off immediately after the incident. Sandeep Kumar says that if the police do not take action soon, he will appear before the Police Commissioner and plead for justice.
