A stampede broke out in a school in Gidderbaha, Faridkot when 15-year-old student Manveer died due to sudden deterioration in health while playing basketball. Manveer was the only son of his parents.
According to eyewitnesses, Manveer suddenly fell on the ground during the game. The school management and fellow students immediately rushed him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The exact cause of death has not been revealed yet, at present the police have registered a case and started investigation. The school administration and local people have expressed deep condolences on this tragic incident.
