The weather has changed its mood in Punjab. Heavy rains have started in many districts including Jalandhar. Meanwhile, an update has come out regarding the weather of the coming days. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rains for 4 days in Punjab.
Yellow and orange alerts have been issued in Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur, Amritsar, Rupnagar, Nawanshahr, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Fatehgarh Sahib and Mohali in Punjab for August 24. On August 25, yellow alert will continue in Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, Gurdaspur and Pathankot and there are chances of rain in many areas of Punjab on August 26 and 27 as well. At the same time, due to heavy rains, the situation in Punjab may worsen as the water level in dams and rivers has increased. People living in low-lying areas may face heavy trouble due to rain. Along with this, due to continuous release of water from the dam, the situation remains serious in Amritsar, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur, Moga areas.
