Due to continuous rain in the mountains, the water level of the Ravi river had increased considerably. Meanwhile, 2 lakh 70 cusecs of water was released in the Ravi river yesterday, due to which the water level has increased further.
According to the information, the boat facility to reach 7 villages on the other side of the Makoda Ghat of the Ravi river has also been stopped. The water has even reached the nearby fields, due to which 7 villages have lost contact. Let us tell you that due to the rising water level, students and teachers could not reach the schools, due to which the schools of this area had to be closed today.
It is worth noting that when SDM Dinanagar Jaswinder Singh Bhullar was talked to about the rising water level in the Ravi river, he said that an alert has been issued in the areas near the river and the people of the area are appealed not to go towards the river without any work. He said that the administration is keeping a close watch on this.
