For the convenience of passengers stranded in Jammu, Indian Railways ran 2 special trains from Jammu Tawi station on 28 August. Railway officials said that the first special train number 02238 ran from Jammu Tawi to Varanasi Junction. This train left from Jammu at 3 pm on 28 August. And its route and timetable will remain the same as regular train number 12238.
The second train number 04680 which is an unreserved special train was run from Jammu Tawi to New Delhi. This train left Jammu Tawi at 4.30 pm. This train stopped at many important stations including Kathua, Pathankot Cantt, Jalandhar Cantt, Ludhiana Junction, Ambala Cantt and Panipat Junction on the way.
Passengers traveling to Delhi and its surrounding areas benefited from this train. Chief Public Relations Officer Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay operated both the trains for the convenience of the passengers.
