A food street is soon going to be constructed at Company Bagh Chowk in Jalandhar, where residents and tourists will be able to enjoy food and beverages. The Jalandhar Municipal Corporation has announced this project and stated that this food street will be constructed at a cost of ₹1.25 crore. Approximately 35 high-end stalls will be set up in the food street, offering a variety of cuisines, from local to continental and international dishes. The Municipal Corporation also stated that stalls will be allotted to several major and renowned food brands, ensuring both the quality and taste of the food.
A special feature of this food street is that it has been designed with entry points from both Company Bagh and the main road, ensuring easy access for visitors. Additionally, the location has been selected with consideration given to the pedestrian walkways and traffic management, ensuring both safety and convenience.
The Municipal Corporation states that the project aims to provide residents with a safe and attractive space where they can gather with friends and family to enjoy their favorite cuisine. The street will also include seating arrangements, adequate lighting, cleanliness, and CCTV cameras for security. Local businesses and small restaurant owners will also be involved in the project, allowing them to showcase their products and delicious dishes. This will boost local businesses and contribute to the city’s economy.
