A woman walking on foot has been killed after being struck by a speeding car. Shamsher Singh, son of Harbans Singh, a resident of Kothe Theh Wale village, stated in a statement to the Kotkapura City Police Station that his wife was walking home after working in the fields when, as she was crossing the main road near the village bus stand, a speeding car coming from Moga negligently struck her and drove away.
He stated that Kuldeep Kaur fell unconscious during the accident and was taken to the Medical College, Faridkot, where doctors declared her dead. Based on Shamsher Singh’s statement, the Kotkapura City Police Station has registered a case against the unknown car driver and is taking further action.
