Doctors Vijay Jaswal and Gurbaksh Chaudhary advised people to take precautions against seasonal diseases like dengue and said that the risk of dengue increases during the summer and monsoon seasons. Therefore, everyone should keep their homes and surroundings clean.
The doctors appealed to people to wear full clothing and protect exposed skin from mosquito bites. They said that to prevent mosquito breeding, people should not allow water to accumulate around their homes, in old tires, pots, and other containers. If symptoms of dengue, such as high fever, headache, and joint and muscle pain, are experienced, get tested immediately at the nearest health center.
Furthermore, they said that following hygiene and personal safety rules is the most effective way to prevent diseases like dengue. Both doctors said that dengue can be controlled through collective effort and awareness. They urged citizens to maintain cleanliness in their homes and neighborhoods and take measures to protect themselves from mosquito bites.
