Punjab Government to Soon Award Harmanpreet, Amanjot, and Harleen with Gifts:

Date:

Following the Indian team’s historic victory in the Women’s World Cup 2025, the Punjab government has decided to give a big gift to its daughters. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur, all-rounder Amanjot Kaur, and Harleen Deol will all receive a cash prize of ₹1.5 crore and a government job offer. According to sources, the government will soon make an official announcement regarding this honor. It had already been decided that Harmanpreet and Amanjot would receive this award from the Punjab Cricket Association, and now Harleen has also been included.

Although Harleen currently plays domestic cricket for Himachal Pradesh, her roots are in Punjab. Therefore, the government has decided to honor her as well. The ceremony will be held in Chandigarh, and the players’ families will also be invited. The proposal is to offer all three players a B-category job, while the government may even upgrade Harmanpreet Kaur’s job category, going “out of the box” for her.

Players’ Reactions
Harleen Deol said, “This is like a dream come true for me. My family supported me every step of the way, and that’s why I’ve reached this point.”
Amanjot Kaur smiled and said, “The whole of Punjab came to receive us; what could be bigger than that? It feels good to hear people talking about the catch I took, similar to Surya Bhai’s catch.”

Meanwhile, fellow players Harleen Deol and Jemimah Rodrigues have created a rap for team captain Harmanpreet Kaur, “She’s not just a Kaur, she’s Thor!” This video is going viral on social media and fans are loving it.
