The police at the Sadar police station in Ludhiana, Punjab, have registered a case against eight people for creating a ruckus at a builder company’s office and threatening employees. An unidentified policeman is also among the accused. The complaint was filed by Jalandhar resident Varinder Singh, who works as a project director at the builder company.
Flat Booked: No Contact After Booking, Allotment Cancelled
According to the complaint, accused Gurvinder Singh had paid an advance of ₹1 lakh for a flat in a project located on Pakhowal Road. However, he remained in no contact with the company thereafter, nor did he complete the payment process. Following repeated failures, the company cancelled the allotment. Varinder Singh stated that on November 23rd, Gurvinder and some of his associates entered the office of Managing Director Sukhdev Singh. They created a ruckus, threatened employees, and one man, claiming to be a policeman, pretended to have a weapon. The entire incident was recorded on CCTV cameras installed in the office.
The complainant also stated that a few days ago, a senior officer, at Gurvinder’s behest, called him and pressured him into a settlement. He has also submitted a screenshot of this call to the police. According to ASI Harcharan Singh, who is investigating the case, a case has been registered against the accused under various sections. The police investigation is ongoing and further action will be taken after the investigation is complete.
