The Cyber ​​Crime Police Station, Ludhiana, has registered a case against a young man for posting content that disturbs communal harmony and impacts public order on social media. This account was posted on the social media platform ‘X’ (Twitter).

The accused has been identified as Arshdeep Singh Saini, who has been active since February 2019 under the account name @the_lama_singh. He has approximately 13,000 followers. According to the Cyber ​​Crime Wing’s preliminary investigation, this account consistently posted posts that were considered provocative, communal, and had the potential to disrupt the social atmosphere. The investigation revealed that the accused’s posts targeted members of the Sikh, Hindu, and Muslim communities. Additionally, inflammatory comments were made on sensitive issues related to the state, ideologies, and demographic change.

According to the police, the account was operated as part of a “well-planned strategy” to spread hatred, and the youth presented himself as having a radical mindset. Given the reach of the account, the Cyber ​​Crime Cell immediately took action and registered FIR No. 64, dated 28.11.2025. The case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the IT Act.

Action will be taken after investigation
Punjab Police stated that it is continuously monitoring hate, misinformation, and activities that threaten social unity on social media, and will continue to take strict action in such cases.
