‘Bhabhi bol inko’: Harshit Rana recalls Virat Kohli’s playful moment with Anushka Sharma

A light-hearted moment from India’s 2025 Champions Trophy triumph has now surfaced that perfectly captures Virat Kohli’s playful side.
Indian pacer Harshit Rana recently recalled his first interaction with Anushka Sharma inside the dressing room, and how Kohli’s quick humour instantly eased his nerves.
Speaking to Men’s XP, Harshit said he was meeting Anushka for the first time after a match and addressed her formally out of respect. Kohli, however, immediately intervened.
“I entered the dressing room and Anushka was also there. I was meeting her for the first time, so I called her ‘ma’am’. Then he told me, ‘Tu ma’am kyu bol raha hai inko? Bhabhi bol inko’,” Harshit recalled.
The exchange did not end there.
Harshit added that when he explained he was meeting Anushka for the first time, Kohli jokingly told her that Harshit was “like that, and just some time ago I poured champagne on him, and I am calling you ma’am now.”
Summing up the former India captain’s nature, Harshit said, “He likes to joke a lot.”
