A grave incident has come to light in Punjab, wherein a relative of Khadoor Sahib MLA Manjinder Lalpura stands accused of setting fire to the home of a Scheduled Caste family. According to reports, the village Sarpanch, Gora, has been accused of setting ablaze the residence of Labh Singh, a resident of village Veinpui.
A Congress leader has issued a strong reaction regarding this incident. He has demanded that State Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the Director General of Police (DGP) of Punjab initiate immediate and strict legal action in the matter. The Congress party has alleged that such incidents cast doubts upon the state’s law and order situation, emphasizing that exemplary action against the culprits is imperative. Currently, the police are conducting an investigation into the case, and the entire sequence of events has also heated up the political atmosphere.
