A major incident of robbery at gunpoint involving a salesman has come to light. According to reports, in Hemrajpur village of Gurdaspur, three youths riding a motorcycle robbed a liquor shop salesman at gunpoint, snatching approximately ₹3,000 in cash and his mobile phone. The shop employee, Balkar Singh, was returning home late at night after closing the shop when the incident occurred on the road leading from Ale Chakk to the Babbari Bypass. Balkar Singh stated that as he was riding his scooter home after closing the shop, three youths on a motorcycle blocked his path and surrounded him. They then pointed a pistol at him. He mentioned that he could not tell whether the pistol was real or fake, but he was terrified; complying with the robbers’ demands, he emptied his pockets of all his cash, amounting to approximately ₹3,000. During the incident, the robbers also snatched his mobile phone before fleeing the scene.
दुकान का कर्मचारी बलकार सिंह देर रात दुकान बंद करके घर लौट रहा था, तभी आले चक्क से बब्बरी बाईपास जाने वाली सड़क पर यह घटना हुई। बलकार सिंह का कहना है कि जब वह दुकान बंद करके अपनी स्कूटी पर लौट रहा था, तो मोटरसाइकिल पर सवार 3 युवकों ने अपनी मोटरसाइकिल उसके सामने खड़ी कर दी और उसे मोटरसाइकिल पर घेर लिया। फिर उन्होंने उस पर पिस्तौल तान दी। उसने कहा कि उसे नहीं पता कि पिस्तौल असली थी या नकली, लेकिन वह बहुत डर गया था और लुटेरों के कहने पर उसने अपनी जेब से सारे पैसे निकाल लिए, जो करीब 3000 रुपये थे। इस दौरान लुटेरों ने उसका मोबाइल फोन भी छीनकर भाग गए।
