Police investigations have revealed that, following the crime, the accused fled the country and had been hiding in the UAE. He was arrested on April 10 at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. According to sources, a security agency in the UAE detained him on suspicion, following which he was deported to India. The police had already issued a Lookout Circular against the accused, and the process for issuing a Red Notice through Interpol had also been initiated. Significantly, the accused’s mobile phones—which had been seized by UAE authorities—have now been handed over to Indian investigative agencies.

Sources claim that these mobile phones could yield significant clues regarding the conspiracy hatched prior to the murder, potential accomplices, and the accused’s digital activities.
