Once again, the festival of Eid in the city served as a shining example of brotherhood and mutual harmony. On Monday, the festival of Eid-ul-Adha was celebrated with immense reverence and enthusiasm at the city’s Eid Dargah, where members of the Hindu, Sikh, and Muslim communities gathered on a common platform to offer prayers for peace, tranquility, and prosperity.
A massive crowd of people was witnessed within the Dargah premises right from the early morning hours. After offering their prayers, people embraced one another to exchange Eid greetings. The occasion presented a beautiful tableau of brotherhood and shared cultural heritage.
Committee members noted that, true to tradition, people from all religious backgrounds and sections of society visited the Dargah on the occasion of Eid this year as well, joining in the prayers and supplications. They emphasized that the true message of Eid is one of love, affection, and humanity, and that everyone should live together in harmony and brotherhood.
