The Punjab government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle, issuing orders for the transfer and new postings of six IAS officers. Manvesh Singh Sidhu, a 2004-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Administrative Secretary of the Labour Department and has also been given additional charge of the Rehabilitation Department.
Additionally, he has been entrusted with the responsibilities of Additional Commissioner, Rupnagar Division, and Managing Director of the Punjab Infrastructure Development Board. He will take over this position from Girish Dayalan.
Girish Dayalan, a 2011-batch IAS officer, has been assigned a new role as Special Secretary, Department of Jails.
Prior to this, he was holding the posts of Registrar (Cooperative Societies, Punjab) and Managing Director of the Punjab State Cooperative Bank Limited, alongside additional charges at the Punjab Infrastructure Development Board and Markfed. Sanyam Aggarwal, a 2012-batch IAS officer, has been posted as Special Secretary in the Department of Health and Family Welfare.
He will continue to serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the State Health Agency and the Nodal Officer for the anti-drug campaign. Furthermore, he has been assigned the additional charge of Registrar (Cooperative Societies, Punjab) and Managing Director of the Punjab State Cooperative Bank Limited.
Vishesh Sarangal, a 2013-batch IAS officer, has been given the additional charge of Managing Director, Markfed, while continuing his responsibilities as Special Secretary (Department of Governance Reforms and Public Grievances/IT), Director (Good Governance and IT), and Chief Executive Officer of the Punjab State e-Governance Society.
Sakshi Sawhney, a 2014-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Special Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare. She will also handle the additional responsibilities of Mission Director (National Health Mission, Punjab) and Chief Administrator of the Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority (PUDA).
Similarly, Preet Yadav, a 2014-batch IAS officer, has been assigned the role of Special Secretary, Department of Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training, along with the additional responsibility of Special Secretary (Expenditure), Department of Finance.
