The police have achieved a major breakthrough in the case involving a petrol bomb attack on a BJP leader’s clinic in Bathinda, Punjab. Based on CCTV footage and technical evidence, the police identified three accused individuals involved in the incident. Two of them have been arrested, while continuous raids are being conducted to locate the third.
The police arrested Nakul Kumar and Gurvinder Singh, both residents of Abohar, in connection with the case. While they were being brought to Bathinda for interrogation, the accused attempted to give the police the slip by making a pretext to have the vehicle stopped. Seizing the opportunity, both jumped off a flyover with the intention of escaping custody. One suffered a broken leg, the other a broken arm.
Both accused sustained serious injuries from the jump; Gurvinder Singh suffered a leg fracture, while Nakul Kumar was confirmed to have an arm fracture. The police took them back into custody and rushed them to the hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment. Police teams investigating the case thoroughly examined CCTV footage from the crime scene and surrounding areas. Additionally, they analyzed mobile phone data and other technical evidence, which proved crucial in tracking down the accused.
According to sources, the third accused has also been identified, and raids are being conducted at multiple locations to apprehend him. Police officials claim that he, too, will be arrested soon.
