A massive commotion erupted today outside the Pyramid Institute in the city. The institute faces allegations of fraud involving the issuance of fake visas. Tensions flared when people gathered at the premises to demand the return of their money. Reports indicate that unsuspecting individuals were swindled out of lakhs of rupees under the pretext of visa arrangements.
The institute’s owner was not present during the uproar, prompting the angry crowd to detain the company’s HR representative. Allegations were raised that victims had been defrauded of sums ranging from ₹6 lakh to ₹10 lakh with the false promise of visas. One individual reported that his son had been sent abroad but had been missing for four months.
Amidst the commotion, Sikh organizations declared that if an agent defrauds anyone, the money would be recovered through physical confrontation; they vowed not to let the victims’ money go to waste. One person revealed that he had paid approximately ₹6 lakh after selling four kanals of his land. Police arrived at the scene, took the HR representative into custody, and placed him in a vehicle. However, alleging a lack of police action, the crowd surrounded the vehicle.
