Temperatures in Punjab have dropped following three days of rainfall, offering people relief from the humid heat. According to the Meteorological Department, the downward trend in temperatures is expected to continue in the coming days, potentially bringing further respite from the heat.
On Saturday, the highest maximum temperature in Punjab was recorded in Bathinda at 36.6°C, while Hoshiarpur recorded a maximum of 31.7°C. Due to the rain, temperatures remained below normal in several other districts of the state as well, creating a cooler atmosphere.
The Meteorological Department forecasts a likelihood of rain in various parts of Punjab on September 6. Subsequently, the weather is expected to improve and return to normal conditions from September 7 onwards. While the continuous rainfall has provided relief from the heat, the shift in weather has also resulted in a noticeable drop in temperatures.
