On the auspicious occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh paid obeisance at the holy *Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib* in the sacred city of the Gurus. During his visit, he offered prayers (*Ardas*) for the Prime Minister’s longevity, good health, and the fulfillment of the resolve to build a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India).
He also performed *Seva* (voluntary service) at Sri Darbar Sahib. Speaking to the media, Tarun Chugh remarked that the holy soil of Sri Harmandir Sahib provides renewed energy to walk the path of truth and serve the people. He stated that Prime Minister Modi has dedicated every moment of his life to the service of the nation and society. His 25-year tenure as a head of government has been a golden era marked by public service, nation-building, and elevating India’s prestige on the global stage.
‘India Emerging as the Fourth-Largest Economic Power’
Sharing statistics, the BJP leader noted that due to PM Modi’s visionary leadership, India is currently growing at a rate of 7.8 percent and is poised to soon become the world’s fourth-largest economic power.
He highlighted that the Central Government’s policies have ensured tap water connections for 18 to 19 crore poor families, provided permanent housing to 6 crore impoverished citizens, and extended the benefits of welfare schemes directly to nearly 100 crore people. Chugh emphasized that alongside a ‘Viksit Bharat,’ the creation of a ‘Viksit Punjab’ (Developed Punjab) is also essential. Questions Raised on Law and Order
Speaking on the state’s current situation, Tarun Chugh launched a scathing attack on the Punjab government. He stated that Punjab is the sacred land of Gurus and *Peers* (saints), where there is no room for discrimination. While the Gurus imparted the message of mutual brotherhood, certain anti-social elements are attempting to spread unrest in the state. He alleged that law and order in Punjab has completely collapsed and the government has failed to provide protection to ordinary citizens and whistleblowers.
