Following a protest outside ‘Aradhya Enterprises’—an immigration agency located in Vasal Mall—a client has now come forward with startling revelations. An aggrieved client disclosed that the agency sends people to Dubai on work permits only to place them in jobs under Pakistani employers, who treat Indians like animals.
**Young men and women from Punjab and Himachal already trapped**
Neeraj Kumar, who recently returned from Dubai, stated that he had contacted the owner of Aradhya Enterprises to arrange his travel. He was assured that, for ₹90,000, he would be provided with a ‘visit-to-work’ visa for Dubai. He alleges that upon arrival, a Pakistani agent met him at the airport, immediately confiscated his passport, and sent him to spend the night in a chicken coop. He was subsequently placed in a job at a Pakistani-owned workshop, where he was denied food and received no wages for the work performed. When he protested, the Pakistani agent reassigned him to a factory owned by another Pakistani individual. There, too, he went unpaid for two months; when he asked the agent to send him back, he was taken to a squalid area in Dubai where other young men and women from Punjab and Himachal were already stranded.
Neeraj recounted that he was later assigned to a call center, only to discover it was a fraudulent gambling operation used to scam people. Fearing the consequences, he quit the job and managed to return home with the help of acquaintances. The victim stated that upon returning to India, he filed a complaint with the Jalandhar police, but the matter was eventually settled after the agent refunded the money owed to him. It is worth noting that while Aradhya Enterprises holds a consultancy license, the agent is nevertheless sending people abroad through illicit means. Similarly, ‘Videsh Yatra Consultants’ is also operating offices at two separate locations under a single license, misleading and defrauding people.
