Robbers targeted a house in Rauwali village, located on the Jalandhar-Pathankot Road, late at night. They held the woman present in the house hostage and fled after looting approximately ₹5 lakh in cash and 22 tolas of gold. The incident has created an atmosphere of panic in the entire area.
According to reports, about an hour before this incident, the robbers had attempted to break into another house in the vicinity. The residents—migrant workers—raised an alarm, causing the robbers to flee the scene. The police were immediately informed of the attempt.
Shortly thereafter, the robbers targeted another nearby house. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the premises. Upon receiving the information, the Maksudan police arrived at the scene and have launched a search for the robbers.
