Three youths drowned in the Sukuva-Dhukuva Dam, located within the Premnagar police station area. On Tuesday morning, a Junior Engineer (JE) stationed at the dam spotted the bodies and immediately alerted the police. The police have taken the bodies into custody and sent them for post-mortem examinations.
The deceased have been identified as Raj (a resident of Pench Mohalla in the Sipri Bazar police station area), and Ritesh Parihar and Neeraj (residents of Nagra). Reports indicate that missing person reports for all three youths had previously been filed at their respective police stations. A police team arrived at the scene.
Missing Person Reports Filed for All Three
The discovery of three bodies at once caused a stir at the location. Babina Station House Officer (SHO) Rahul Rathore arrived with a police team, retrieved the bodies, and took them into custody. A motorcycle was also found parked near the site; the police have seized the vehicle and initiated inquiries regarding it. While drowning appears to be the cause of death, the exact details will be confirmed following the post-mortem.
Babina SHO Rahul Rathore stated that the police have sent the bodies for post-mortem examinations. Preliminary findings suggest that drowning was the cause of death for all three. However, the full details regarding the circumstances and sequence of events will only become clear after the post-mortem report is received and the police investigation concludes.
