Train operations were affected on Saturday due to anticipated heavy traffic congestion around the New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway stations. The Shatabdi Express scheduled for Saturday morning was cancelled.
Dr. Shivam Sharma, CPRO of North Central Railway (Prayagraj), stated that several trains were cancelled at their originating stations due to the likelihood of severe traffic jams near the New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin stations between 4:00 AM and 2:00 PM on Saturday. The cancellation of certain trains also disrupted their return services, causing significant inconvenience to passengers traveling towards Prayagraj, Lucknow, and Howrah.
