Digital Desk, Chandigarh. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has suffered a major blow ahead of the Punjab Assembly elections. Three MLAs have left the party over the last two days, with the rebel legislators joining the BJP on Monday.
On Monday, rebel AAP leaders Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, and Chetan Singh Jouramajra joined the BJP in Delhi.
Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh also resigns from his post
Before joining the BJP, Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh—an AAP MLA who had been suspended from the party and is a former IPS officer—announced that he had resigned from his position as a member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly.
Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, the MLA for the Amritsar North constituency, stated in a Facebook post that he had submitted his resignation to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Kultar Singh Sandhwan. Joining the BJP in Delhi
Along with fellow Punjab MLAs Chetan Singh Jouramajra and Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh joined the BJP at the party’s headquarters in Delhi in the presence of senior leaders.
Notably, Chetan Singh Jouramajra (from Samana) and Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra (from Sanaur in Patiala district) had resigned from the Aam Aadmi Party just a day earlier, on Sunday.
