Mumbai Police recreated the scene of the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan on Tuesday morning. For this, the police took the accused Shariful out of the lockup at 1:15 am on Monday night and first reached Bandra station.
He was taken to Saif’s society between 3-4 am. The accused was also made to wear a bag pack exactly like the one he wore at the time of the incident.
Apart from this, the forensic team also reached Saif’s house separately for investigation. The team collected a total of 19 fingerprints from the bathroom window, shaft and staircase of Saif’s house. The accused had entered Saif’s house through the bathroom window and also came out from here after the attack.
Saif was attacked at around 2 am on the night of January 15, he suffered serious injuries on his spine and neck. After this, he reached Lilavati Hospital, where he was treated.
Mumbai Police arrested the accused Shariful late night on January 19. The Crime Branch said that he was a wrestler in Bangladesh. Shariful is on 5-day police remand.
Saif will be discharged from the hospital today, left the house where the attack took place
Saif Ali Khan will be discharged from Lilavati Hospital by this evening. After being discharged, Saif Ali Khan will not go to his Satguru Sharan apartment but will go to the apartment in Fortune Heights, where he used to live earlier. His belongings were also shifted last night. Actually, before coming to Satguru Apartment, Saif used to live with his family in Fortune Heights, later he made it his office.
Shariful had reached Saif’s apartment with the help of a pipe… 3 revelations by the police
During police interrogation, accused Shariful told that he had entered the Bollywood star’s apartment with the intention of theft on the night of January 15. He reached the eighth floor of the building by stairs. After this, he climbed to the 12th floor with the help of a pipe and entered Saif’s flat through the bathroom window.
Accused Shahzad said that he checked the ducts of many flats in the building but could not enter others’ houses because all the ducts were sealed and all the doors of other flats were closed. Only Saif Ali Khan’s backdoor was open in the entire building.
The accused said that he did not know that he had entered Saif Ali Khan’s house. He came to know after watching the news in the morning that he had entered the house of a big Bollywood actor. Police said that the CCTV of the main door of the building was off, but the private CCTVs of some flats were on.

After the attack on Saif Ali Khan, accused Shariful Islam slept at the bus stop in Bandra till around 7 o’clock. After this, he changed his clothes and reached Dadar, where he got a haircut at a salon.
After this, he bought headphones from a shop and took a bus to Worli Koliwada. He saw the news of the attack in the media. When he saw the CCTV and photos in it, he got more scared and ran away to Thane.
Police saw him in a CCTV camera at an egg-pav shop in Worli, where he made the online payment. When police questioned the egg-pav vendor, the shopkeeper said that the accused used to work as a housekeeper at a restaurant and bar in Worli.
When police reached the restaurant, it was found that once a diamond ring was stolen there, after which the hotel changed the entire staff. After this, the bar owner gave the number of the labour supplier, who had sent him to the restaurant.
The labour supplier gave the mobile number of the accused, which was matched with the online payment made at the egg-pav shop. When both the numbers matched, his location was traced.
He was arrested near a labour camp in Thane late on Sunday night. After this, the accused’s parents in Bangladesh identified him.

January 15: Attack on Saif Ali Khan with a knife at home
On the night of January 15, the accused entered Saif Ali Khan’s house in Bandra. The accused attacked Saif with a knife. He was stabbed in 6 places including neck, back, hand and head. He was taken to the hospital at night.
January 16: Piece of knife stuck in the spine was removed
According to the doctor of Lilavati Hospital, a piece of knife was stuck in Saif’s spine and fluid was also leaking. It was removed through surgery. The doctor said that if the knife had penetrated 2 mm more in the actor’s spine, the spinal cord could have been severely damaged.
January 17: Saif shifted from ICU to special room after operation
Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital’s Chief Neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange and COO Dr. Neeraj Utmani said on Friday that Saif has been shifted from ICU to a special room in the hospital. He is out of danger.
January 18: Police arrested a suspect from Chhattisgarh
Police detained a suspect from Durg in Chhattisgarh on Saturday. According to RPF in-charge Sanjeev Sinha, the suspect was caught from Shalimar Gyaneshwari Express. This person was sitting in the general compartment. He was identified on the basis of photos sent from Mumbai. Further updates related to this suspect have not been revealed.

Mumbai Police said that an accused was arrested from Thane. It was claimed that he had entered Saif Ali Khan’s house with the intention of theft. It is said that the accused does not have any valid documents of India. He is suspected to be a Bangladeshi. He also changed his name after coming to India. The accused was taken on 5-day remand.
