A key associate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and gangster Goldie Brar has been arrested after a joint operation with Punjab’s Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) and SAS Nagar Police.
The arrested accused has been identified as gangster Mehfooz alias Vishal Khan. Police have recovered an illegal pistol and 5 live cartridges from the accused. Accused Vishal Khan had helped a lot in providing logistics including weapons to the killers of Punjab singer Sidhu Moosewala.
The accused has been arrested by the police near SAS Nagar. Soon he will be produced in the court and taken on remand for interrogation. So that it can be known from where the said accused used to bring weapons and from which numbers he used to talk to Goldie Brar.
DGP said – The accused had fired bullets at the IELTS center in Dera Bassi
Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav said that Vishal Khan has been arrested in a joint operation of Anti Gangster Task Force Punjab and SAS Nagar Police. Vishal had fired at an IELTS centre in Dera Bassi in September last year. Vishal Khan was the mastermind of the said incident and was absconding since then.
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said – Initial investigation shows that he was planning to commit crime in Tricity. Police is getting Vishal Khan’s previous criminal record from all the police stations. Around 10 cases are registered against the accused.
Since 2023, Vishal Khan has been working on the instructions of gangster Goldie Brar sitting abroad. He collected consignments of weapons from notorious gangster Joginder alias Joga (HR).
