The common people are getting a lot of benefit from the Aam Aadmi Clinic of Bhagwant Government of Punjab. They are getting the best treatment for free near their homes. So far 881 Aam Aadmi Clinics have been opened in Punjab. It is estimated that the common people have saved more than one thousand crore rupees so far from these clinics. This saving can be much more due to the facilities near the house. Aam Aadmi Clinics have proved successful in fulfilling the promise of good health to the people.
A boon for rural areas
So far 881 Aam Aadmi Clinics have been opened in the entire state, out of which most clinics have been opened in rural areas. 550 Aam Aadmi Clinics are working in rural areas. Health facilities in villages are less than in cities. For this reason, people here take more advantage of their facilities. 65 percent of the population of Punjab lives in villages.
CM Bhagwant Mann said that our government focused more on expanding health services in rural areas and most Aam Aadmi Clinics are being opened in villages.
Every day around 60 thousand patients come to Aam Aadmi Clinics across the state for treatment. So far, 2.15 crore people from the state have got treatment. People have started trusting these clinics. For this reason, 1.11 crore people have got treatment here more than once. Being close to home, more women are getting treatment here than men.
Regarding the health services of the state, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that our first effort was to create trust in health services among the people. I am happy to tell that we have been successful in creating trust in the people. People believe that they will get good treatment for free in Aam Aadmi Clinic. Free testing facility is also available here. For this reason, people are getting their treatment here again and again. More than 55 percent of the patients are women.
Good health services being provided to the people
The Bhagwant government is continuously making recruitments in the state, so that the common people can get better facilities. So far in its tenure, the Bhagwant government has provided 45560 government jobs to the youth. The government has recruited 1910 new candidates in the health sector. The government is recruiting 1390 doctors’ posts in phases, out of which advertisements have been issued for 400 posts in the first phase. Apart from this, the appointment process of 435 house surgeons is going on.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the government is striving for better health services. For this reason, we have not only opened Aam Aadmi Clinics but are also going to remove the shortage of personnel in the health sector. Doctors are being recruited in the state so that people do not have to stand in line for treatment.
People are saving money and time
Rani of Ludhiana said that when she was ill, she had to spend fifty rupees one way to go to the hospital and this expense reached close to 100 rupees in coming and going. Apart from this, a lot of time was also spent in going to and coming from the hospital. Due to the presence of Aam Aadmi Clinic near home, both money and time are being saved. Good treatment is also available here.
On the facilities of Aam Aadmi Clinic, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann said that the objective of our government was that people should get good treatment for free. During this, we also took care that people did not have to go far from their home for treatment. We are happy that Aam Aadmi Clinics are working as per the expectations of the people. People are saving money as well as time. 80 types of medicines and 38 types of tests are being done for free in these clinics.
Now people do not have to go to big hospitals for minor diseases. For this reason, now patients with serious diseases are able to get their treatment easily in big hospitals.
