The ongoing farmer agitation on Shambhu and Khanauri border of Punjab-Haryana over 13 demands including legal guarantee of MSP of crops will complete one year after exactly one week. In view of this, the farmers have decided to hold three Mahapanchayats from 11 to 13 February.
To mobilize maximum number of people in the Mahapanchayats, farmers are going from village to village and uniting people. The hunger strike of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal has entered the 73rd day.
Today (February 6), farmers from the villages of Haryana will reach the front with water. Right now Jagjit Singh Dallewal is consuming only the water brought by the farmers. At the same time, a large number of farmers have started arriving on both the fronts with ration and tractor trolleys.
This is how the struggle will go on before the meeting of the Central Government
On February 14, a meeting of farmers with the Central Government is going to be held in Chandigarh. In this meeting, the farmers have made a strategy to organize continuous programs on the fronts. So that a large number of people reach the fronts. From 6 to 8 February, farmers of Haryana will reach Khanauri border with water from their fields.
While on 9 February, a program has been organized by the United Kisan Morcha to give a memorandum of demands to the MPs of the country against the draft of the Agricultural Mandi Policy. However, unions (non-political) associated with the United Kisan Morcha will participate in this program.
No decision has been taken in this regard yet. On 11 February, there is a protest in Ferozepur against the case registered against the farmers in the matter of lapse in the security of Prime Minister Narendra Modi two years ago. There the farmers will surround the SSP office.
On the same day, the first Mahapanchayat will be held at Ratanpura Morcha. Programs have been scheduled in Khanauri on 12 February and Shambhu on 13 February. At the same time, there will be a meeting of farmers with the officials of the Central Government in Chandigarh on the 14th.
