Chandigarh Police has arrested an accused in a vehicle theft case. Police have also recovered 2 cars from the arrested accused. The arrested vehicle thief has been identified as 24-year-old accused Shubham Arora, who was involved in the car theft case.
Police have recovered two cars, out of which the number plate of one car (CH01BJ8230) was fake. The car actually had an original number of Mohali which is registered in the name of Satya Devi. During interrogation, Shubham told that he had stolen this car from Phase 7 Mohali on January 31.
Police officials said that the accused Shubham has been arrested by the team of Sector-31 police station. Police said that the accused had stolen a car from Phase-7, Mohali on the night of January 31, 2025.

Police said that FIR number 34 has been registered against the accused, which was registered on 4 February 2025 in PS-31, Chandigarh. Police also said that earlier also 7 FIRs have been registered against him in Sector 34, 19 and 39 police stations of Chandigarh.
Sent to jail after being presented in court
Shubham has been involved in many crimes earlier also. Police has considered his arrest in this theft case as their success because now they are sure that they can get help in solving many theft cases of Tricity. Police presented him in the court from where he has been sent to jail.
