The farmers will celebrate the death anniversary of the late farmer Shubhkaran today (Friday). The statue of Shubhkaran installed in village Ballon will be unveiled. Shubhkaran died last year after being shot during a clash with Haryana Police.
The hunger strike of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal at Khanauri border has entered the 88th day. However, he has not been taking medical facilities since the 14th. The farmer leader has made it clear that he will attend the sixth round of meeting with the central government in Chandigarh on the 22nd. At the same time, he has sought suggestions from the people on the issue of MSP, so that the farmers’ battle can be fought strongly.
150 farmers from Haryana arrived with water
Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal has been on hunger strike since November 26. After receiving an invitation from the central government for a meeting, he started drinking water. Farmers of Haryana are bringing water for him from their villages. While some farmers have brought holy water from Ganga Jal, Golden Temple and Mecca Medina. So far, water has reached Khanauri border from 150 villages. Dallewal has thanked all the people for this. He said that consuming this water gives strength to his body.
Dallewal gave a message of unity
Farmers now want to win this battle at all costs. It has been a year since the front started. In such a situation, on Thursday, farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal gave a seven-minute message. In the message, all farmer organizations have been invited to unite. He said that this fight started by him has progressed a lot, when the struggle started, at that time people did not know anything about MSP.
But now after this, there is discussion not only in the country but also abroad. At the same time, it is necessary to be united to win this battle. He motivated the farmers by mentioning the unity of the Delhi farmers’ movement. Finally, he called upon the organizations to participate in the unity meeting to be held in Chandigarh on 27 February.
