During this session, which will be held in two phases, on March 17, Chief Minister Naib Saini will present the first budget of his government as Finance Minister. Let us tell you that before the budget session of the Haryana Assembly, a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee was organized in Chandigarh on Thursday evening. Chief Minister Naib Singh, Energy Minister Anil Vij, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mahipal Dhanda, Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare and Antyodaya (SEWA) departments Krishna Kumar, MLAs Bhupendra Singh Hooda, Geeta Bhukkal, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dr. Krishna Lal Middha, MLAs Savitri Jindal and Arjun Chautala specially participated in this meeting chaired by Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan.
According to the tentative programme released earlier by the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat, the proceedings of the House were planned to continue till March 25 and the budget was to be presented on March 13. After the meeting held on Thursday, the programme has been changed. As the Finance Minister, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini will present the budget on March 17. Due to the festival of Holi, the date of presenting the budget has been changed. Along with this, there is a consensus on reducing the holidays fixed in the tentative programme and running the proceedings of the session on those days. The budget session will begin with the address of Governor Bandaru Dattatreya on Friday.
Holi will be on these days
There will be a holiday on Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9. The Governor’s address will be discussed from March 10 to 12. Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini will reply on March 13. There will be a holiday on Holi on March 14, Saturday on March 15 and Sunday on March 16. After this, on March 17, the Chief Minister will present the annual budget of the state. The budget will be discussed for three consecutive days, i.e. from 18 to 20 March.
The budget grant demands will be discussed. After this, the budget grant demands will be discussed on 21 and 22 March. There will be a holiday on 23 March. The grant demands will be presented on 24 and 25 March. Similarly, the reports of various committees of the Vidhan Sabha will be presented in the House on 26 March.
