What happened to your promise: BJP made a big announcement in Delhi, so the political temperature in Punjab rose even before the summer

Date:

The cabinet in Delhi has approved the Mahila Samridhi Yojana, under which the BJP government has gone a step further on its guarantee of giving Rs 2500 per month to women. Politics has heated up in Punjab over this. The opposition has attacked the ruling Aam Aadmi Party for not fulfilling the guarantee of Rs 1000 per month for women.

Leader of Opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa said that before coming to power in 2022, CM Bhagwant Mann had announced to give financial assistance of Rs 1000 every month to one crore women of the state. It has been three years for the government, but the promise made to women has not been fulfilled till now. Aam Aadmi Party owes women a loan of Rs 36 thousand crore. The much-discussed program of the AAP government to give a stipend of Rs 1000 per month to women above the age of 18 years is pending for a long time.

Bajwa said that he will raise this issue in the upcoming budget session of the Punjab Assembly. Bajwa said that the AAP government should be ready to pay the arrears of three years to women, as the original promise was to start it after forming the government.

AAP came to power by making false promises to the people – BJP

Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab Vice President Subhash Sharma said that the Aam Aadmi Party came to power by making false promises to the people. The party made big promises including ending drug addiction, providing employment and giving Rs 1,000 per month to women, but none of these promises were fulfilled. The situation is such that the youth are leaving Punjab and settling outside. The unemployment rate in the state is increasing, due to which the youth are in the grip of drug addiction. Subhash Sharma said that when the government has not been able to fulfill its main promise of giving Rs 1,000 per month to women, then what else can be expected from it.

Betrayed the people – SAD

Shiromani Akali Dal Chief Spokesperson Arshdeep Singh Kaler said that whatever promises are made to the people by political parties at the time of elections, they should be fulfilled. He said that the Mann government had campaigned vigorously on the promise. The party had reached every house with this promise, but could not implement that promise within three years. By doing this, the party has betrayed the people.
