After the state president of BJP, brainstorming has started on the formation of new state executive. For which the leaders have started lobbying. Along with this, the tussle has also started among the senior leaders.
Reshuffle is being done by including senior and experienced leaders of the party in the executive. After the approval of the party high command, the executive will be announced next month. This time young and new faces are also likely to get a place in the executive, whose performance the party is happy with. While the removal of some of the earlier officials is also considered certain.
The party’s focus is on strengthening the organization
The executive is being formed keeping in mind the municipal elections to be held next year. The new team will be responsible for preparing the ground for victory in the party elections. The municipal elections to be held at the end of next year are very important for BJP as well as Congress and Aam Aadmi Party.
The party’s performance was not good in the last municipal elections, at that time it won only 12 seats out of 35. The party also lost the last Lok Sabha elections by a very small margin to the Congress-AAP alliance, so now the party’s entire focus is on strengthening the organization.
Therefore, a lot of thought is being given to the officials who are being selected in the executive. State BJP President Jatinder Pal Malhotra will form the new executive with the consent of National President JP Nadda.
Every faction wants to increase its dominance
On January 14 this year, Jitendra Malhotra has again been given the responsibility of state president. There is a lot of factionalism among the senior leaders of BJP. Every faction wants to increase its dominance by including its supporting leaders in the executive.
At present, there is a faction of Sanjay Tandon, former president Arun Sood, former MP Kiran Kher and Satyapal Jain in the party. With the increasing activism of Rajya Sabha member Satnam Sandhu, many leaders and workers are joining him. Earlier, former MP Satyapal Jain, Sanjay Tandon and Arun Sood did not get a place in the advisory council formed by the administration.
After the announcement of the executive, factionalism is expected to increase. At present, despite the BJP’s mayor being elected in the municipal corporation, the administration is not ready to give additional funds, due to which the opposition as well as BJP councilors are raising questions on the administration’s performance.
Opportunity to new faces for the district president
Before the appointment of the state president, the election of district presidents has been done. This time the party has given a chance to new faces for all the district presidents. That is why it is being speculated that this can be seen in the state executive as well. While the party has not yet given new responsibilities to the former district presidents.
Apart from this, there are many other leaders who are waiting for new roles. It is known that Aam Aadmi Party has also formed a new organization along with a new president before the mayor elections. While Congress is also going to make some changes in its state executive in the coming days.
There is a lot of lobbying for the post of general secretary
Most lobbying is being done to get the post of general secretary in the state executive. After the president in the party, the post of general secretary is considered the most important. The responsibility of running the party lies with the general secretary. According to the constitution, two general secretaries are appointed.
For this post, many leaders including former mayor Ravikant Sharma, Shaktidev Shali, Amit Jindal, Sanjeev Rana, Avi Bhasin are being said to be contenders. While six vice presidents and six state secretaries are appointed.
Apart from this, treasurer, spokesperson, co-spokespersons and office secretary are appointed. Along with this, about 100 members of the state executive are appointed separately. Along with this, the presidents of Mahila Morcha and Yuva Morcha will be announced afresh.
