Discussion on Governor’s address in Haryana budget session today: Questions of 14 MLAs came up, among them answers were also sought on giving ₹2100 to women

Date:

Today (March 10) is the second day of the budget session of Haryana. In this, there will be a discussion on the address given by Governor Bandaru Dattatreya on March 7. This discussion will continue till March 13. On March 17, CM Naib Saini will present the budget for the first time as Finance Minister.

This time the budget of the state can be around 1.95 lakh crores. Earlier in 2024, the then Chief Minister and Finance Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had presented a budget of 1.89 lakh crores. There will also be a question hour during the address. In which questions of 14 MLAs have come up.

At the same time, in this budget, the BJP government of the state will also pass a budget of about 10 to 12 thousand crores to give 2100 rupees per month to women. This was the first promise among the 20 promises made by the BJP in the manifesto for the assembly elections. However, Congress and INLD MLAs can protest against this.

This is because the BJP had talked about giving this amount to all women at the time of elections. However, now it has been limited to women of BPL families with annual income less than Rs 1.80 lakh. This will benefit about 50 lakh women, but 25 lakh women will be out of the scheme. Congress MLA Pooja Chaudhary has also asked questions to the government regarding this.

Apart from this, the government is also bringing a revised travel act. Which has been made stricter after the Haryanavis sent through the Donkey Route were deported from America to India.
