Farmers under the banner of Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), which failed to march to Chandigarh on March 5, are protesting outside the houses of MLAs and ministers of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party across the state on Monday. For this, the strategy was already prepared by the farmers.
This protest by the farmers is to be done from 11 am to 3 pm. Farmer leaders associated with the SKM group reached outside the house of Minister Mohinder Bhagat in Jalandhar at 11 am to protest. Farmers also reached outside the house of MLA Kulwant Singh in Mohali. However, the security guard has been strengthened by the police.
A decision was taken for this in a meeting held in Ludhiana. On the other hand, Sarwan Singh Pandher, leader of the United Kisan Morcha non-political and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, says that today it has been 390 days since the Shambhu Morcha started. The second session of the budget session of Parliament is starting from today.
We would like the ruling party and the opposition of the country to discuss the MSP of farmers and laborers. A law should be made on this. Also, the farmers of the country should be made debt free. Attention should be paid to our other demands. At the same time, the wall built on the Shambhu border should also be discussed, because it has harmed the economy of Punjab-Haryana.
Will take part in the meeting with the central government
There is no consensus yet on whether SKM will join the movement going on for a year on the Shambhu and Khanauri border of Punjab-Haryana.
Six rounds of talks have been held with the central government in Chandigarh in a year. A meeting is scheduled again in Chandigarh on March 19. At the same time, the hunger strike of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal on the Khanauri border has entered the 105th day. The farmers have decided that the leaders of both the forums will take part in the meeting with the central government.
SKM’s meeting in Chandigarh on March 15
The United Kisan Morcha has organized a meeting in Chandigarh on March 15. The meeting will be held at Kisan Bhawan in Sector-35. During this time, the farmers will decide how they want to continue their struggle. Earlier, the farmers had decided to march to Chandigarh on March 5.
But after a failed meeting with CM Bhagwant Mann in Chandigarh on the 3rd, the farmers were put under house arrest and detained on the 4th. Also, the farmers were not able to reach Chandigarh.
