There is a direct contest between BJP and Congress for the post of mayor in Ambala and Gurgaon, because there is no third candidate in the fray in both places. 43 candidates contested for the post of mayor in ten municipal corporations, 27 for the post of Pradhan in five municipal councils and 151 for the post of Pradhan in 23 municipalities.
Whom did BJP give ticket from where?
BJP had made Rajrani Malhotra from Gurugram and Praveen Joshi from Faridabad as mayor candidates. Praveen Popli was made BJP’s candidate from Hisar. Apart from this, Rajiv Jain, who was media advisor to Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, was made the candidate from Sonipat. BJP gave ticket to Renubala Gupta from Karnal.
BJP had made Komal Saini from Panipat, Ram Avtar Balmiki from Rohtak, Suman Bahmani from Yamunanagar and Selja Sachdeva from Ambala as candidates. BJP gave ticket to Rajrani Malhotra from Gurugram.
