On the morning of 14 March, a Chandigarh Police constable and a Home Guard volunteer died after being hit by a speeding Polo car on the Chandigarh/Zirakpur border. Senior officers of the Chandigarh Police Department have issued orders to all to deduct one day’s salary and give the money to the families of these two martyrs. It has also been said that if someone does not want to get the money deducted, then there is no compulsion on him. He can register his objection to the officer of his concerned department.

The body was torn into pieces

A car crushed police personnel and a person at a check post set up for Holi on Friday morning on the Zirakpur border. All three died on the spot in the accident.
