The Bhagwant Mann government has systematically removed the farmers who were sitting on dharna for the last 13 months at Shambhu and Khanauri border of Punjab and has got bulldozers run on both the fronts. The government chose the occasion of the failure of the seventh round of talks of farmers with the Union Ministers on Wednesday for the ‘Morcha Hatao Abhiyan’. Both the fronts were cleared at 9:30 pm. After the removal of barricading by the Punjab government on Wednesday, the farmers have started uniting today i.e. Thursday, due to which there are chances of an increase in the uproar.
The detained farmers were sent to Central Jail
The Punjab Police had detained many farmers during the action. Many farmers detained on Wednesday have been sent to Patiala Central Jail today.
Farmers will protest outside DC offices from 12 noon
Farmers have announced to protest outside DC offices from 12:00 noon.
Security increased at Shambhu border
Security has been increased at Shambhu border for the time being. At the same time, the concrete barricades installed by Haryana Police on Shambhu border to stop the movement of farmers are now being removed.
Farmers will surround DC office till demands are met
Satnam Singh Pannu, leader of Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, who is involved in this movement on behalf of Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (non-political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, has opposed the action of Punjab government on the farmers’ movement and announced that DC offices will be surrounded in all the districts across the state today and the current movement will continue till its demands are accepted.
Internet service closed on Shambhu border
During the action on the farmers’ movement that continued till 1:00 am on Wednesday night at Shambhu border, most of the trolleys installed by the farmers on the National Highway were removed by the administration. The National Highway has almost been cleared. Regarding the few trolleys that are left here, the administration has asked the farmers to remove these trolleys themselves otherwise they will be taken into custody. The National Highway is expected to reopen before 1:00 pm today. Currently, internet service is closed on Shambhu border.
Farmers will surround all DC offices of Punjab
After the Punjab government opened Shambhu and Khanauri border, there is anger against the government among the farmer-labor organizations. Sukhwinder Singh Sabhara, state president of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, said that the Punjab Police has started arresting Nishan leaders. The peacefully protesting farmers have been beaten up, their tents have been uprooted and they have been pushed. Due to which, the siege of DC offices across the state will start from today to express anger against the government and Punjab Police. The Punjab government, in connivance with the central government, has hatched a conspiracy against the farmers, and they will have to face the consequences.
