Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda has welcomed the removal of the curriculum based on Mughal rulers from the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) books. He said that these should have been removed from the books long ago.
He said that this is a better step taken late. Mahipal Dhanda said that the Mughals have oppressed the people of our country. The information about the Mughal rulers was a burden on the books, which hurt our self-respect and kept us away from inspiration. The information about the Mughal rulers should not have been included in the books.
The Education Minister told whose biography should be taught?
Mahipal Dhanda said that the people of our country have sacrificed their lives to protect Sanatan. Those who sacrificed their lives to protect Sanatan were sidelined and Mughal rulers were included in the books. Books should teach about inspirational heroes like Chanakya, Chitragupt and Chhatrapati Shivaji. It is very important that the children of the current generation get information about his biography.
‘Kashmiri students will not face any problem’
The Education Minister said that the whole country is angry after the Pahalgam attack. The central government will definitely teach Pakistan a lesson this time. All Pakistani citizens are being evacuated from the state. The documents of all are being checked.
He said that Kashmiri students studying in Haryana will not be allowed to face any kind of problem. After the Pahalgam attack, on the instructions of the Chief Minister, he himself has talked to the officials in this regard. About 1150 Kashmiri students are studying in the state. For their safety, the police have been instructed to strengthen security in colleges and universities.
