Chandigarh. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) for admission to medical courses in medical institutions will be held today on Sunday. A total of 162 examination centers have been set up in 19 districts of the state for the examination. A total of 60 thousand 687 students will appear in the examination. Two-tier security arrangements have been made in all the examination centers for the conduct of the examination without cheating. The Transport Department has arranged additional buses for the candidates so that they do not face any problem in reaching the examination centers. This exam will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm.

No one will be allowed to enter the examination center after 1.30 pm. Candidates should carry a copy of their admit card, one passport size photograph, a valid photo identity card such as PAN card, driving license, voter ID, passport, Aadhaar card, ration card or admit card of 12th board exam. Gurugram has the highest number of 6,672 candidates, Hisar has 6332, Faridabad has 6192, Rohtak has 5184 and Rewari has 3840 candidates. Similarly, Bhiwani has 3672, Mahendragarh has 3392, Nuh has 1329, Kaithal has 1634, Karnal has 2496, Jind has 2594, Sonipat has 2437 and Panipat has 2430 students will appear for the exam. 2344 candidates will appear in the examination in Ambala, 2038 in Sirsa, 1968 in Jhajjar, 1811 in Kurukshetra, 2736 in Palwal and 1,586 candidates will appear in the examination in Yamunanagar.
