After the Pahalgam attack, India has given a befitting reply by conducting ‘Operation Sindoor’. Before that, on May 7, the central government had ordered mock drills in all states to avoid air strikes.
After the order, the district administration in Punjab and Haryana has started preparations in collaboration with the defense committees. According to the information, mock drills will be conducted in 17 districts of Punjab and 11 districts of Haryana. The mock drill will be held at 4 pm.
Mock drill started in Amritsar
Mock drills are being conducted by police and civil defense teams in Amritsar. The Home Ministry has ordered mock drills across the country today.

Mock drill in Punjab will be held in Amritsar, Bathinda, Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Pathankot, Barnala, Bhakra Nangal, Kotkapura, Batala, Mohali, Abohar, Faridkot, Ropar and Sangrur. During this drill, a blackout will be done and sirens will be sounded.
Mock drill in 11 districts of Haryana
Mock drill will be conducted in 11 out of 22 districts of Haryana. Out of these, 10 districts Ambala, Faridabad, Gurugram, Hisar, Panchkula, Panipat, Rohtak, Sirsa, Sonipat and Yamunanagar are included in Civil Defence Category-II. Jhajjar has been placed in Category-III. Local administration, Civil Defence Wardens, Home Guards, National Cadet Corps (NCC), National Service Scheme (NSS), Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan and students of schools and colleges will participate in the mock drill.
