Kaafi, daughter of Hisar in Haryana, has topped the 12th class in Blind School in Chandigarh. Her dream now is to become an IAS and serve the country. When Kaafi was 3 years old, a neighbor threw acid on her face on Holi. Due to which she lost her eyesight.
Kaafi, a student of Blind School Sector-26, has topped her school by securing 95.6% marks in 12th CBSE board. Kaafi, who faced an acid attack in 2011, is so full of courage that she has no complaints about life. But she says- she should have got a little more marks. Whatever life has given is acceptable. Now she wants to become an IAS and serve the country. Kaafi’s father works in Haryana Secretariat and her mother is a housewife.
Kaafi considers Dainik Bhaskar as her source of knowledge. Talking to Bhaskar, Kaafi said- I am happy that after 10th, I topped the school in 12th as well. Everyone at home is happy. Both my parents have struggled a lot for me. They went to Delhi for my treatment.
That incident happened in 2011…
Kabhi is not hesitant to talk about her past. She said- It was Holi day in 2011 and I was sitting on my uncle’s lap. The attackers were our neighbours and we loved each other a lot.
I don’t know why they threw acid on me. I was treated at AIIMS Delhi for 3-4 years and I lost my eyesight. My parents had given up hope, but then they brought me to Chandigarh and got me started from Blind School. I cleared the test here and now I am leaving the school after topping 12th.
Then they shifted to Chandigarh for my studies. This success is dedicated to them and my school. I now have to take admission in Delhi University and I will study BA full time honours. After this my target is to become an IAS and serve the country. This is my dream set.
As of today, my only complaint is that I got 92 marks in some subjects, if these marks had increased, my percentage would have been above 97. Apart from this, I have no complaints against anyone. It takes some time to believe the truth, but now I have accepted it.
