Border Security Force (BSF) Jawan PK Shaw has returned to his homeland. The very next day of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Border Security Force (BSF) Jawan PK Shaw was taken into custody by Pakistan. He has not been released yet. BSF constable PK Shaw remained in Pakistan’s custody for 21 days.
To avenge the Pahalgam terrorist attack, India had launched Operation Sindoor on 7 May and entered Pakistan and carried out air strikes on terrorist hideouts. On 23 April, the day after the terrorist attack on 22 April, Pakistan Rangers had taken BSF Jawan PK Shaw into custody at Ferozepur border. For the last 20 days, BSF officials have held flag meetings with Pak Rangers several times to get PK Shaw released, but he has not been released. The Jawan was released on the 21st day after the tension between the two countries subsided.
PK is from West Bengal
PK Shaw is originally from Rishra in West Bengal. A few days ago, the soldier’s wife Rajni Shaw came to Chandigarh regarding her husband’s release. Rajni had met BSF officials regarding her husband’s return.
The soldier was detained with uniform and rifle
According to official sources, the soldier was in uniform at the time of the incident. He had a service rifle. PK, a resident of Harisabha area of Rishra in Hooghly, was reportedly with a group of farmers near the border when he proceeded to rest under a tree and inadvertently went into Pakistan territory, where he was captured.
