The command of the de-addiction campaign being run by the Punjab government will be taken over by the state ministers, MLAs and constituency in-charges today i.e. on 18 May. For this, the government has put ministers and MLAs on duty.
However, CM Bhagwant Mann’s name is also included in the released schedule. He was continuously active for the last two days. The government has set a deadline to make Punjab drug-free by May 30. For this, a strategy has been prepared with the police and administration officials.

Drug de-addiction yatra will be taken out in three gram panchayats / wards of every assembly constituency. Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal will participate in the drug de-addiction program of Ajnala constituency. While Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO Jandiala, Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan Kotkapura, Minister Mohinder Bhagat will take out drug de-addiction yatra in different wards of Jalandhar West.
Deputy Speaker Jai Krishna Singh Garhshankar, Minister Ravjot Singh Halka Sham Chaurasi, Minister Tarunpreet Singh Saund Halka Khanna, Minister Hardeep Singh Mundia Sahnewal, Minister Lalchand Kataruchak Bhoa, Dr. Balbir Singh Patiala Rural, Harjot Bains will come out in Anandpur Sahib.
Finance Minister Harpal Cheema Didba, Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal Lahra, Aman Arora Sunam, Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian will organize drug de-addiction programs at different places in Lambi constituency. Minister Baljit Kaur will take out a drug de-addiction yatra in Malot. Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar will organize a program in Patti constituency.
Preparations to buy entry drone technology also
Now the drug de-addiction yatra program is being run by the Punjab government. It was started two days ago from Nawanshahr. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and party supremo Arvind Kejriwal also attended the program organized on this occasion.
After this, his programs were scheduled in different parts on Saturday as well. The government says that now drug abuse will be completely eradicated. No one will be allowed to sell drugs. The property built by such people with the money earned from drugs will be demolished and they will be sent behind bars. The government has also made preparations to buy entry drone technology. Trials have been conducted for this.
