Toppers will become role models in the war against drugs: Punjab CM felicitated them, said- remember your roots, took a dig at Haryana’s result

Date:

In the ongoing war against drugs in Punjab, the youth who top the 10th and 12th exams will now become role models. Through them, the government will advise the youth to stay away from drugs. Apart from this, players of hockey and other sports will also be included in this campaign.

This was said by Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann in Chandigarh. During this, CM Mann was felicitating the students who topped the 10th and 12th exams.

He advised the youth that if the result does not come as per their wish, then they should not be disappointed. He said, “Even a stopped clock shows the correct time twice a day, so at least we are alive.” However, he also mentioned the zero percent result of 18 schools in Haryana and said that thankfully this is not the case in Punjab.

Now career guidance is also in schools

CM Mann said that all the toppers are an honor for him. For him, everyone is first. However, the pass formula works according to age. He told the youth that this stage is important for you. After this, the turning point of your career is to come, so that you can find the right path. For this, career guidance is being done by the Punjab government. Earlier these things were not told, due to which many times people used to choose the wrong option on the advice of others. Now there are many career options. Whatever you decide to do, complete it and then move on.

Books can change life

The CM said that if a child gets the feeling that this book can change life, then the child studies with passion. He told that Malwa is in the top three and children of small villages are doing wonders. He said that the villagers have a lot of passion for progress, which is a good thing.

Always remember the roots

The CM said that the youth of Punjab are not less in any field. There are more than 200 Punjabi engineers in the US aircraft manufacturing company Boeing, out of which 70 are from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana. Similarly, there are 50 Indians in Microsoft, most of whom are Punjabi. He said that many opportunities will come to you, so do not panic at all. Congratulations to those who came first. Do not get arrogant after coming first. Progress as much as you want, but always remember your roots. Respect those who were involved in your success.

The result of class 10 was 95.60%

Let us tell you that the result of class 10 of PSEB was 95.60%. While the result of class 12 was 91%. Girls were in the top three positions. This is not the first time that the CM is going to meet the students. He has met students and teachers who have done better work earlier also.
