The Punjab government has started preparing a strategy to deal with the new variant of Corona. Corona testing has started in all district hospitals and medical colleges (five government and eight private institutions). However, no corona case has been reported so far. Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh said that people do not need to worry about the new variant of Corona. This virus is not as deadly as the earlier one.
Ready to deal with any emergency
The Health Minister said that cases have been reported in Delhi, Kerala and Haryana. However, he said that JN.1 is a mild variant. It is not a serious disease. Of all the patients who have come to other states, 98% have been discharged. As far as Punjab is concerned, it is ready to fight any kind of emergency.
Whether there is war casualty or Covid comes after fighting with Pakistan some time ago, we are fully prepared. The minister assured the people that there is no need to panic. People do not need to panic.
Wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing is important
Dr. Gilada says that the situation is not going to be like before, but one should wear a mask and keep hands clean. If the infection increases around you, then one should try to maintain social distancing. One should avoid shaking hands or hugging. ‘The infection affects the elderly or those who have other diseases more. If the cough lasts for a long time, then they should be more careful.
