The central government has given additional charge of the post of Member (Irrigation) in the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) to senior engineer BS Nara of Haryana. The Ministry of Power had proposed in this regard. He has been given this responsibility for 6 months.
BS Nara is a senior and experienced engineer of Haryana. He has successfully discharged various technical and administrative responsibilities. This decision is being considered an important step towards maintaining the continuity and efficiency of irrigation management.
The High Court has reserved the decision
There has been a dispute between Punjab and Haryana over the water of Bhakra since last month. This matter has now reached the High Court. A review petition was filed in the High Court by the Punjab government,
on which the hearing was completed on 26 May. During this time the court had reserved the decision in this matter. However, during the hearing many big comments were made by the High Court.
