The excitement of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has now reached the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Stadium in Mullanpur, located near City Beautiful, Punjab. Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians will face each other in the eliminator match to be held on May 30, in which the journey of the losing team will end.
The match will prove to be a big litmus test for Gujarat captain Shubman Gill. If his team wins this match, it will reach the second qualifier, while the losing team will be out of the tournament.
Enthusiasm shown in practice, fitness started with football
The Gujarat Titans team took part in a vigorous practice session at the Mullanpur ground. Led by captain Shubman Gill, Sai Sudarshan, Karun Sharma and other players did running and warm-up as soon as they reached the ground. To increase fitness, the players also played football for some time. After this, the team sweated it out in long shots, catching and batting practice.
Team head coach Ashish Nehra was seen keeping a close eye on the players during the entire practice session. Captain Shubman Gill looked very excited and was seen constantly discussing strategy with fellow players.
Mumbai Indians players reached Mohali airport
The Mumbai Indians team reached Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport in Mohali late Tuesday evening. From there the team went straight to the hotel. All the star players of Mumbai including Rohit Sharma are ready to take the field.
In this season of IPL, the first qualifier will be played on 29 May and the eliminator on 30 May at Mullanpur Stadium. Teams are continuing to arrive for this. Today the Royal Challengers Bangalore team will also reach the city and take part in the practice. Earlier, the Punjab Kings team has also reached the city.
